It\u2019s often called \u201cwheat meat\u201d\u2014and for good reason: when cooked and seasoned, its <strong>texture is surprisingly close to meat<\/strong> (think cutlets, stir-fry strips, kebabs\u2026). <\/p><p>But what really won me over are its <strong>nutritional benefits<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li>High in protein <\/li><li>Very low in fat, <strong>zero cholesterol<\/strong><\/li><li>Naturally rich in <strong>iron, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus<\/strong><\/li><li>Low in calories<\/li><li>And best of all: <strong>it soaks up sauces and spices beautifully<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-bf4e5ab elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"bf4e5ab\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8372c74\" data-id=\"8372c74\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-daa8cab elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"daa8cab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><h3>A simple, creamy recipe: Seitan in cream sauce<\/h3><\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-02a83dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"02a83dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Here\u2019s my go-to comfort dish\u2014easy to make and incredibly satisfying:<\/p><p><b>Ingredients (serves 2)<\/b><\/p><ul><li>250 g of seitan<\/li><li>1 red onion<\/li><li>1 tbsp olive oil <\/li><li>200 ml plant-based cream (soy or oat, as you prefer)<\/li><li>A few mushrooms (optional but delicious)<\/li><li>1 tbsp soy sauce <\/li><li>1 tsp mustard <\/li><\/ul><p><b>Instructions<\/b><\/p><ol><li>Saut\u00e9 the sliced onion in olive oil.<\/li><li>Add the chopped seitan and mushrooms.
