Greco Romano: refined Greek cuisine with a punch!
I love Greek food, but it’s not always easy to find a good restaurant that serves vegetarian dishes. Le Greco Romano was one of my favorites on my last trip to Rome.
Here is the list of dishes we tried:
whole eggplant cooked with feta, olive oil, garlic, pink pepper and herbs
–
Ntolmadakia
Greek goat cheese, pistachio flour, apricot jam

“
It's a real nugget that I invite you to discover!
I was amazed by the quality of the dishes, and this is without doubt the best Greek restaurant I’ve tried so far. We ordered several mezzés so that we could share the dishes and taste almost everything. I discovered dishes and flavors I’d never tasted before! Greco Romano’s cuisine is gourmet, generous and of the highest quality. All dishes are homemade. The puff pastry for the Spanakopita was simply delicious.
I loved everything about it, especially the zucchini dumplings. I’d had this type of mezze in other Greek restaurants, but never of this quality.
Of course, when you travel to Rome, you’re mainly looking for Italian cuisine, but if you’re in the mood for a change, go for it! The quality/price ratio is really very good, as the average price for a mezze is 8€.
The restaurant is a little far from the city center, but if you’re going to a concert at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, it’s a great opportunity to eat there first!
Best Veggie Tables' opinion
To sum up: undoubtedly the best Greek restaurant I’ve ever tried.
