Groot la tourte: a fusion of street food and gastronomy!
When two former Top Chef contestants (including the winner of season 14) decide to open a restaurant, it’s bound to be a hit! Groot la tourte is a rather crazy project: fusing street-food and gastronomy around a key element: the pie!
At the helm of the restaurant are chefs Hugo Riboulet and Albane Auvray, not forgetting Groot, Albane’s lucky charm, whom we’ve come to know throughout the Top Chef shows.
Their idea: to offer a great classic of French cuisine with a more modern twist – and, of course, accessible to everyone!
There are 4 gourmet pies to choose from, including a vegetarian pie (this month (March 2024): celery confit with citrus fruits, brown mushroom tombée, porcini mushrooms and trumpets, smoked garlic cream, granny smith apple). For even more indulgence, you can add side dishes and even finish on a sweet note!

Comfort, taste and generosity!
I loved this place: the concept is really clever! You eat the pie like a burger, so it’s both street-food and gourmet, just the way I like it!
The vegetarian pie is incredible, and the products are top quality! I recommend you take the vegetable onion juice to dip the pie in.
The side dishes are out of the ordinary, and that’s great! I was able to try the “Racine” (3h beet, treviso, yoghurt spirit sauce, horseradish gribiche and roasted almonds) and the “Cucurbitacée” , a real favorite! (Roasted butternut, butternut cream, spaghetti squash, pumpkin seed praline, lemon segment).
And then there’s the friendly atmosphere of Albane and Hugo at the helm! Smiles from start to finish and a warm welcome for every customer.

To sum up: A wonderful discovery that will probably become one of my favourite restaurants when I’m in Paris!
