Vegetarian Cuisine and Latin Flavors: The Madame Jeanette Experience!
A 100% vegetarian menu tested in Luxembourg
It’s impossible to miss Madame Jeanette, a vibrant restaurant located on Rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg. Its charming terrace draws you in, and inside you’ll find an eclectic décor — a mix of kitsch and vintage — that instantly sets the mood.
This is the kind of place where the setting is just as important as the food, creating an atmosphere that makes every visit memorable.
A tailor-made vegetarian menu
During my visit, I had the privilege of enjoying a specially designed vegetarian menu, created to showcase the restaurant’s veggie-friendly options.
And what a treat it was! I even got a sneak preview of two dishes from the upcoming autumn/winter menu — a true privilege for any food lover.

The aperitif: cocktails done right
What many don’t realize is that Madame Jeanette is also an excellent cocktail bar.
I decided to start the evening with a mojito — a classic, but also a real test of the bartender’s skills. Too often, mojitos are either too sweet or poorly balanced. Here, it was perfect: refreshing, well-balanced, and simply delicious.
To accompany the cocktail, I tried the jalapeño popper bites — crispy little croquettes filled with cheddar and jalapeños, served with a sweet chili sauce. Addictive and full of flavor!
Of course, no aperitif at Madame Jeanette would be complete without their famous corn tortillas, served with guacamole and smoky chipotle salsa. The perfect start to this Latin American culinary journey.

Autumn/Winter previews
The first highlight of the evening was the Taco Hongro.
A crispy fried corn tortilla topped with avocado cream, shredded oyster mushrooms, and toasted pine nuts.
The result? An explosion of flavors. The oyster mushrooms added a meaty texture, while the balance of creamy, crunchy, and smoky flavors was spot-on. Generous, bold, and true to the spirit of street food.
Cauliflower steak
As a vegetarian, I’ve had my fair share of cauliflower steaks. But this one was unlike anything I’ve tried before. Marinated and oven-roasted to perfection, the cauliflower was served with chimichurri sauce, fresh cheese, pico de gallo, and pomegranate seeds.
The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced: the chimichurri brought a kick of freshness, the cheese added a creamy touch, and the pomegranate seeds gave crunch and a hint of sweetness.
Enchiladas con calabaza de butternut
The second preview was just as impressive: vegetarian enchiladas with roasted butternut squash.
The dish combined green bean and jalapeño pesto, roasted butternut, coriander-infused rice, mezcal-flambéed kale, melted cheese, and mole amarillo salsa.
A rich, comforting dish with bold and distinct flavors that felt both seasonal and inventive.

Dessert: a touch of freshness
To finish this indulgent meal, I tried the strawberry mousse with basil and meringue. Light, refreshing, and sweet — the perfect ending.
“
An unmissable spot for fans of creative vegetarian cuisine in Luxembourg!”
Why you should visit Madame Jeanette ?
What truly stood out to me was the way the menu blends seasonal, local ingredients with bold Latin American flavors.
From butternut squash to oyster mushrooms, each dish celebrated the best of autumn produce while taking me on a journey far beyond Luxembourg.
Add to that a warm, friendly staff, a lively atmosphere, and cocktails that rival the dishes in creativity… and you have an unmissable restaurant for anyone who loves vegetarian cuisine in Luxembourg.
