Saveurs du Tibet – Metz
It had been a while since I had a real culinary crush in Metz. And then I stumbled upon Saveurs du Tibet, near Rue des Allemands. A simple, welcoming spot—the kind that’s becoming rare.
The owner, Nurbu Tsang, originally from Tibet, was forced to leave his country in 2019. Today, he shares his heritage through honest, homemade cooking that’s full of flavor.
Among the house specialties, you’ll find momos: steamed dumplings, a bit like gyozas… but bigger, more fragrant, more generous.
And most importantly: real care is taken with the vegetarian options, offering several fresh, well-seasoned, and truly tasty dishes. You can choose between steamed momos, tomato-sauced momos, pan-fried momos, or even momo soup. And for comfort food lovers, the thenthuk—a traditional Tibetan noodle soup—is absolutely worth trying.
Great food, great vibes. The owner welcomes you like a friend—always with a smile.
And the value for money is outstanding: around €12 for a main dish.
To sum up: A guaranteed favorite for lovers of authentic cuisine and warm, welcoming places.
