We’re Smart World ambassador

International guide dedicated to chefs and restaurants giving plant-forward cuisine a real place

In 2026, I became a We’re Smart World ambassador. Through its Green Guide and its “Think Vegetables! Think Fruits” philosophy, this international guide highlights chefs and restaurants showing that plant-forward cuisine can be creative, demanding and deeply generous.

This role matters to me because it naturally extends the work behind Best Veggie Tables. I defend a plant-forward approach rooted in real experience, taste, and the careful recognition of restaurants that work with vegetables with coherence, precision and respect.

It is also a way to strengthen the commitment of Best Veggie Tables: to offer a curated selection of vegetarian, vegan and plant-forward restaurants, tested on site and documented with care.

Plant-based cuisine: tomorrow’s cuisine starts here!

What if we built a real community around plant-forward cuisine, a cuisine that respects nature and animals, and is not treated as a substitute? That is my challenge.

A vegetarian for 20 years, I have seen vegetarian and vegan cuisine evolve, but also the limits of many menus still designed as alternatives rather than as real gastronomic experiences.

With Best Veggie Tables, I highlight restaurants that give plant-forward cuisine a sincere, creative and demanding place. From fine dining restaurants to more accessible addresses, each place is selected for the quality of the food, the coherence of its approach and the real value of its plant-forward offer.

The goal: to help you find, faster, the restaurants that are truly worth the detour.
