Brasserie Côté Cour: an introduction to plant-based cuisine!
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I’ve already had the opportunity to try out the world’s best plant-based restaurant: La Distillerie. I love this restaurant and have already written a long article about it on my website. Although I’ve known about La Distillerie for 10 years, I’d never yet tried chef René Mathieu ‘s second restaurant: Brasserie Côté Cour.
Passionate about plant-based cuisine, I often talk about chef René Mathieu around me, and I wanted to share this culinary experience with my friends. The Brasserie Côté Cour is an opportunity to discover the plant-based cuisine of chef René Mathieu thanks to a more accessible menu.

A poetic menu in the world of plant-based cuisine

Not surprisingly, I loved (and I’m not the only one) the menu offered by Brasserie Côté Cour. It’s a scaled-down version of La Distillerie’s gourmet menu.
In other words, we have the same dishes as those offered in the Michelin-starred restaurant. Quality, quantity and presentation remain the same.
Chef René Mathieu ‘s strong commitment is also evident, with a menu that evolves according to the seasons, the produce and his pickings. To enjoy a meal at Brasserie Côté Cour or La Distillerie is above all to take advantage of an exceptional moment, to take one’s time and to accept to leave one’s comfort zone.

DECLINAISON OF SWEETS
The menu was PERFECT, and I think going to the Brasserie is a great way to discover the cuisine of chef René Mathieu. The quality/price ratio is truly exceptional, as the menu costs €65 for the vegetarian composition and €75 if you add an animal protein. My friends were won over and, above all, pleasantly surprised by this type of cuisine. They are neither vegetarians nor vegans, but they wanted to try out the menu’s vegetarian composition, and they don’t regret their choice!
The little extra: what I also really appreciated was that the chef took the time at the end of his service to come and greet his customers.
Best Veggie Tables' opinion
To sum up: as with the Distillerie, it’s love at first sight!
Areas for improvement: as far as the cuisine is concerned, I don’t think there’s anything to say. The only small improvement to be made would be in the Brasserie setting, which could do with a little sprucing up.
